Fashion Fun Vantaa: High Street Kimono at Vantaa Zen Garden

Vantaa, Finland

May Day in Helsinki can be swiftly changed within 24 hours, while it is a truly bliss in 2018 the summer days come as a long departed lovely old mate. We girls decide to jump on the ride, hit on the highway and reach to a hidden Zen garden in Vantaa, Northern residential area from Helsinki central.

The outfit today for the garden party is Oasis (Fashion) 100% silk kimono, Vanessa Bruno 100% cotton camisole, American Apparel 100% polyester leggings and 100% ostrich feather slippers. When I first visited England in 2005, I discovered Oasis Fashion in Reading and London, appreciated its floral exotic design for High Street Style; funded in 1991, Oasis Fashion soon spreads its store locations across over 27 countries. The Oasis pseudo kimono (Haori) silk top, which the embroidery floral print and the incantevole red, evergreen green and brassy gold colours deliver the feel of kimono, contains both washed and mulberry silk, a rare material that a fast fashion house would manufacture, cost around 50 EUR in 2006. For the lingerie under Oasis Haori, Vanessa Bruno camisoles are always my favourite basic item, since it can be worn as the underwear or simply a summer top with skirt, and at sale the price drops 20 EUR with various colour to choose from. Unfortunately this April when I was visiting Vanessa Bruno Taipei, where did not offer any other camisole than black.

In winter sale at Zara Helsinki, this ostrich pair of slippers appearing at my attention and then became my proudest fashion bargain ever. Merely 7 euros and I can create the luxurious look from Gucci, or comfy casual wear from Muji. American Apparel leggings has served me at least a decade for dozens of fresh styles, 20 USD purchased on the official web store. At Vantaa Zen Garden, the floor is paved with pebbles and the wooden blocks, where is no damage walking with any sophisticated footwear. The only concern of the ostrich slippers is, that the feather flies around now and then, never ever available being held with any back in order. The outfit for May Day is dressed with High Street brands, the total apparel cost is less than 100 EUR.

For accessories, naturally I go for Chanel logo earrings, apply Rouge Allure #105 Inimitable and powder blush #360 Hyperfresh, in order to create more of a Geisha image, together with Oasis Fashion silk Haori and Japanese maple trees in this amazing Zen garden. My talented friend leads us to this unforgettable mini trip, captures the elegant vibe of the photos, and always offers the high quality time to enjoy with. All the fun is just at the beginning of the season!

P.S The Haori does not close like Yukata, it is worn open or kept closed by a string that connects the lapels.

TOP TIP 1: Fast Fashion items requires experienced eyes and mix-match practice to reach the stage of elegance
TOP TIP 2: Flora prints is only outstanding with rather plain apparel or accessories
