Beauty Boom! Roses de Chloé Eau de Toilette

My CHLOÉ STORY is bottled up in late August, while SOKOS was on Kauneuteen Event in September (Beauty Event in Finnish), I go for Roses de Chloé, 30 ml, not just because of the 20%-off coupon in hands, but also on the desire toward the rare Chloé freebie collection.

The high-end designer’s brand marketing policy usually is, in Autumn, release the stock pressure of the previous season products, then push forward the new fragrance during the Christmas season in a launch of gift set. This is the way how I hoard the skincare and parfum at lower prices, at the same time welcome the lovely designed items.

Developed by perfumers Michel Almirac and Mylène Alran, Roses De Chloe was appearing in 2013. It is celebrating 50 years of existence of this house. Gentle and graceful, the fragrance tries to capture a walk down the Parisian rose gardens. Of the compositions, it includes fresh notes of bergamot, litchi, lemon and tarragon at the beginning, developing into essence of damask rose accompanied by magnolia, black current, apple, cedar and peach. After that, white musk and amber touches linger on my skin, but not yet too strongly delivered. The longevity is moderate, not too creamy, nor powdery; Roses de Chloé subverts my original concern toward the piercing smells of roses.

Toward to the package design, on the cardboard box, the ivory convex texts ‘ROSES DE Chloé’ framed within the rosy-tinted square; as to the crystal bottle, ‘Chloé’ embossed on its silver-plated plank, and finally, a rather darker cotton ribbon tightened on the neck of its nozzle. The whole is as elegant and dreamy as the previous fragrance collection.

Upmost to my surprise, is this Les Parfums notebooks collection set along with the purchase the eau de toilette. With the rosy-tint, beige-hue and grassy-tone, the 7.5x12 cm hardcover notebooks present Chloé, Roses de Chloé and L’eau de Chloé of the house. Embossed with the silhouette of each fragrance bottles on the cover, attached with the signature colours of the bookmark strings, printed ‘Chloé parfum’ at every lower page corner, altogether slipped in within cardboard collector’s box with these 3 fragrances’ miniature illustrations. I have to say this Chloé notebook set combines the brief history of the top sellers fragrance and the practical functionality (I am not sure if the are too perfect to write on!), is one of the best bargains (40 EUR) I have hunt in 2015.
